How to Use the Leigh Light
If you've ever peeled and placed a sticker, then you can easily use the Leigh Light. Check out the steps below to see the easy and simple way to apply the Leigh Light and get your cobalt blue lighting underway!

Peel Backing
The adhesive layer is already adhered to the Leigh Light. Simply peel the temporary backing off to expose the other adhesive side.

Apply the Leigh Light
Press the Leigh Light sticky-side down and centered onto the light emitting flashlight source of your smart device, NOT the camera itself. If you're not sure where that is, you can turn on your flashlight briefly to see where the light is coming from, but be careful, it's bright! The adhesive is not permanent and is easy to remove and replace if you're not happy with the initial placement. You should not have to remove your cell phone case for this step, but see our FAQ page if your case appears to be in the way.

Turn on Light
There are two options for emitting a cobalt blue light:

Constant Light: Turn on your smart device's flashlight for instant lighting. Depending on your smart device, this is typically half of the capable strength of light.

Photo Light: Open the smart device's camera app and set the flash setting to ON and take a picture. This will give you a picture of your object of interest with a cobalt blue lighting.
For best pictures: Dim. Flash ON. Zoom. Focus. Capture!-
Ensure Flash is set to “ON”

Dim the room a little, if possible

Hold device close to object (about 6” away)

Zoom-in to magnify the object

Touch screen to focus on the object

Use free hand to help keep object stable, use other hand to capture!

Remove and Stow
Once you're done, the Leigh Light can be removed and easily stowed for future use. Use a twisting motion as you pull it off your light source and simply restick onto a clean smooth surface (glass, plastic, metal, finished wood and many more surfaces are all compatable).
Ideas for storage include: ID Badge, water bottle, expo board, mirror, smooth side of a stowed tool, refrigerator door, top of computer, picture frame... get creative!
It is not recommended to leave the Leigh Light on a smart phone when not in use, as it can be bumped off and lost when sliding into pockets/pouches etc.

Cleaning your Leigh Light
If the adhesive seems to be losing it's stickiness and/or there is visible oil/dirt/debris on the adhesive, simply wash the entire thing with soapy water, rinse, and let air dry sticky-side up. Your Leigh Light will be good as new!
