Leigh has always been committed to DIY solutions to everyday problems.
An alternative to the specialized Leigh Light is using dark blue transparent plastic tape where many disposable chips can be made easily by anyone!
Paper Street Plastics: Transparent Colored Tape
This is a brand Leigh has tried and found to work well.
Choose the 1/4 inch width. Click HERE for a link to the product.
Cut to Size
Cut 3 pieces of the tape slightly longer than a 1/4 inch. Remove the paper backing one at a time and layer the pieces on-top of each other (sticky side to smooth side) until 3 are now one.
Try it out!
Remove the final paper backing and adhere your new blue filter to your smart device's light source. This blue tape will turn the light blue, but not as brightly/deeply as the Leigh Light. It can also be reused if careful with the tiny film, but it is not washable and thus will eventually lose its sitckiness.
